Comfort while sleeping

In the United States alone, an estimated 50 to 70 million adults suffer from a chronic sleep or wakefulness disorder. According to the National Sleep Foundation, the average adult needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night in order to function at their optimal level. However, many studies have shown that the majority of adults do not get the recommended amount of sleep.

Many adults report consistently getting less than seven hours of sleep each night. Inadequate sleep can negatively impact health and quality of life. Being tired all the time can lead to lower function at work or during normal activities. The importance of a good night?s sleep has been well documented in a multitude of research studies.

Due to the importance of sleep, there have been numerous studies conducted to determine why so many adults are having trouble sleeping. According to one study, over 90 million people in the United States snore, which interrupts their sleep or their partner’s sleep. Adjustable bed systems have been found to help decrease or eliminate snoring by adjusting the position in which people sare sleeping.

Temperature has also been found to be a significant issue. Roughly 86% of the people studied reported waking up in the middle of the night because they were either too hot or too cold. Others report discomfort, tossing, and turning, or an inability to get and stay comfortable.

For many, simply buying a new or better mattress can help significantly. The average person will lay on their mattress for 3,000 hours each year. This is a considerable amount of time. A good, high-quality mattress should last 9 to 10 years before needing to be replaced.

While adjustable bed systems are more expensive than traditional mattresses, they are significantly higher quality and they provide a level of comfort that cannot be found in other mattresses. An adjustable bed, as its name suggests, can be adjusted to maximize the individual comfort needs of the owner. They can help reduce snoring, allow for repositioning, elevate the head when you have a cold or congestion.

Adjustable mattresses can also allow two people to sleep in the same bed but in different positions. For many married couples, finding a bed that is equally comfortable for both people can be extremely difficult if not completely impossible. Adjustable bed systems can fix that. Everyone deserves a comfortable and supportive bed.
